Truth

Belief, Truth and Rafts

Belief is a shortcut to enlightenment,  and like most short-cuts, has a large host of side-effects.  It can get you half way there faster than anything, but you may not get to the other side.  If it does, it’s a much longer process.

It’s a speed boat that runs out of gas.

Buddhism is a raft to the other shore. There’s a lot of paddling, but you are bound to get there.

Truth, however, is not a raft to the other shore.
It is the other shore.
