I’ve been reluctant to fully commit to the sangha, as there is not a good place for my children to fit in. There are no other kids, and they would be quite uncomfortable. The sangha, quite practically, is a place for mature practitioners.
At sangha today, I realized that my family experiences the sangha through me. I’m transmitting the peace, joy, and love I’m learning through the sangha. So, they are part of it. Their sangha is our family, and Teresa and I are the dharmacharya. We teach by example in our family sangha.
When they are older, hopefully they will find the same things I have, in their own sangha.
This realization, frees me to fully commit to my sangha.
